Lake Owyhee

I am not much of a photographer, but I took these great pictures of Lake Owyhee. I think we need to make this the location of one of our family adventures.

The only bad thing is that it is hotter than &$#@ and there is not such thing as shade. None at all so you will have to bring your sunscreen.


This is one of the coolest looking places ever. I know... it isn't a lakeside resort in the mountains, but it is pretty in its own way. It also happens to have a lot of water to play in. Whoooohooo!!


Oh yeah... there are lots of fish here too. Grandpa Walt loves to fish at Lake Owyhee so that would help keep him out of our hair. LOL (Just kidding... we love you Papa Walt!!).

We will have to be careful that we stay away from the "Glory Hole." I want no part of that ride down to the bottom!! (Do a search on Yahoo for the "Glory Hole" at Owyhee Dam to see more pictures. It is pretty impressive and scary!!!)


The hole you see in the picture above is how the water gets through the dam!!
